Bio
Christine obtained her master's degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM). She began at PCOM in New York and later transferred to the school's San Diego campus where she completed her degree in 2003. Before completing her studies at PCOM Christine took a three-month sabbatical to Melbourne Australia. There she studied with Steven Clavey, a prolific writer and scholar of Chinese medicine. Upon her return to San Diego Christine studied Tibetan Buddhism, Buddhist meditation and Hatha Yoga at The Shiva Center International. She received darshan, which means blessing from the teacher to instruct meditation and yoga practice in 2003.
Since beginning her practice of Chinese medicine at Acupuncture, Shiatsu and Oriental Medicine of New England (ASOMNE), Christine completed Lonny Jarrett's 2-year course in Chinese pulse diagnosis and the clinical integration of the Five Element and Eight Principle styles of Chinese medicine. Christine continues to broaden and deepen her practice with ongoing explorations of Chinese herbal medicine, bodywork and meditation.
Christine is licensed by the state of Connecticut to practice Acupuncture. She is certified in the practice of Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, and Chinese Herbalogy by the National Certification Committee of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Christine is a member of the Connecticut Acupuncture Association.
